The Longleng District Planning & Development Board held its monthly meeting, under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner & Vice Chairman DPDB Longleng, W. Manpai Phom NCS, at DPDB hall, Longleng on 9th September 2025.
The members discussed the agenda of creation of an urban sub-centre within Longleng town where CMO Longleng highlighted the purpose. He informed the house that a site must have to be identified for construction, where the house after a prolonged deliberation, agreed to constitute a committee for identifying the site and discuss in the next meeting. The house also discussed registration of cooperative enterprise society, where EAC Longleng, Imkongnukla Ao, highlighted the house on the aims and purpose of the society, where the house agreed the proposal for further necessary action.
Principal, Bautung Government Higher Secondary School, Longleng briefed on the on-going construction of the school under the Light House Project. MS Longleng also highlighted the work progress of the new district hospital.
ARCS, Cooperation Longleng, Atongba, presented the departmental activities during the meeting through a PowerPoint presentation. The Chairman entrusted the Department of Water Resources for the presentation in the next DPDB meeting. The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks by the chairman.
