The culmination programme of the Election training and final briefing & evaluation of the presiding officers & 1st polling Officials was held at Mayangnokcha Govt. Higher Secondary School, Mokokchung on 22nd February 2023.
Deputy Commissioner & District Election Officer, Mokokchung, Sashank Pratap Singh IAS in his briefing said, “The luckier will go for election duty” as it is a matter of pride and prestige to be a Presiding Officer if no re-poll occurs in their designated polling station. He also asked the officers to visit the facilitation centre at the DC office to clarify any doubts to ensure that no technical issues arise which might disrupt the poll proceedings.
General Election Observer, Prashant Kumar Panda IAS, while briefing the trainees during the programme, reminded the presiding officers not to fill the poll sheets after the poll, but put down the chain of events simultaneously so that they will not miss out on critical events which can be very crucial for the smooth conduct of the poll.
General Election Observer, Kamla Kant Saroch IAS, in his briefing, said all the officers should diligently focus on their task to ensure re-poll does not occur due to some technical matter than it is something undesirable. In order to avoid such a situation they should clear all their doubts before they leave for their designated polling stations from the master Trainers/colleagues or visit the facilitation centre.
AEO Mokokchung, Renben Mozhui also briefed the officials on some of the technical aspects to be strictly followed during the polling process.
Nodal Officer for Webcasting duty, Nyanthung, Asst. Professor FAC, Mokokchung instructed the Officials on the various aspects of Webcasting on Poll day and also on how to use the Booth App.
The programme was presided over by EAC (Hq), Vitolu.
