The Medemer Fund is committed to helping children from less privileged backgrounds who are forced to abandon their education due to poverty or to work and provide for the family. Working to ensure that education is a privilege for every child, they are dedicated to bringing about change and empowering children with skills and knowledge by financially helping their parents/guardians pay for their education, setting up libraries, and providing training on self-reliant skills. The fund also deals with mental health issues by offering free counseling sessions to those that require help.
To support all these activities, a fundraising event for two days, on 28th-29th July 2023, has been organized in the form of a futsal tournament named "The Henosis Cup" at Niathu Sports Complex, Kohima. The tournament was kicked off by Rajesh Soundararajan, IAS Secretary to Governor. Other guests included were Theja Meru, Chairman TaFMA, and Dr. Hovithal Sothu, Project Director TaFMA.
