Medical equipment and consumables worth Rs. 50 Lakhs donated by EKAM for District Hospital Noklak was handed over to Medical Minister, Pangnyu Phom on 22nd October 2021 at his office chambers in the Nagaland Civil Secretariat, Kohima. The Minister also received an ambulance equipped with the latest medical technology, donated by Santhi Medical Information Center, on behalf of the Department. The Ambulance will act as a Mobile Medical Unit for Noklak.
Addressing the programme, Phom thanked both EKAM and Santhi Medical Information Center for their generous contribution towards the people of Nagaland in particular and Noklak in general and stated that it was a joyous occasion for all. He appreciated Joint Secretary Home, Reny Wilfred for taking the effort in connecting the NGOs with the State of Nagaland. He also seek support of the people in keeping and making proper use of the medical equipment.
Others who spoke at the programme included, Advisor Printing & Stationary, H Haiying, Advisor Economics & Statistics, L Khumo, DC Noklak, Joint Secretary Home and representatives from Medical Department and the two NGOs.
