Mon District became the first to receive a Customised 4x4 Ambulance from Medical Oxygen For All under the initiative of District Administration Mon on 1st October 2021.

Medical Oxygen For All is a team of Indians from across the world with a belief that each one of us can make a difference. Their focus is on sourcing medical grade oxygen cylinders, canisters, concentrators and generators from across the world and providing them to Districts/Cities which are beyond the spot light of the mainstream media.

A dedicatory programme was held at the Conference Room of the Office of DC Mon joined by members of the team Dhruv Sogani and Deeksha Gautam, Administrative Officers, SP Mon, Officers from Health & Family Welfare, representatives from KBBB, KU, KNSK & KSU and members of the team from across the globe through video conferencing. The programme was chaired by DC Mon, Thavaseelan K, IAS. The DC expressed his gratitude and appreciation on the team for their kind gesture. He stated that the Ambulance would greatly enhance the health care delivery service in the District especially the hard to reach villages. He assured the team that their gesture will benefit the people who needs it the most.

Superintendent of Police Mon, Imnalensa IPS, stated that it was truly remarkable to see an initiative by the youth of our Country from across the world helping a remote District in the Northeast.

Joint Director, Health & Family Welfare, Dr. Mereninla Senlem, thanked the NGO and DC Mon for the remarkable initiative on behalf of the Department and appealed to all to take equal ownership in its maintenance.

Team Member, Dhruv Sogani, highlighted that the team was registered as an NGO on 27th April 2021 and has been taking similar initiatives across the country through crowd funding from across the globe.

He stated that primarily the NGO started with the aim to provide oxygen cylinders and concentrators, however, with the situation getting better, the team is now focusing on providing other healthcare facilities to the remote Districts. He stated that during the 2nd Wave, Mon, Noklak, Tuensang and Kiphire were among the Districts which received Oxygen Concentrators from the NGO. He expressed hope that the ambulance is put to good use and that the relationship between the two continues to grow to do more for the people.

The dedicatory prayer was pronounced by Rev. Phiehwang Konyak (KBBB) and the key and documents of the ambulance was handed over to the Medical Officials Mon by Dhruv Sogani.
