A meeting of Administrative Heads of Departments/Heads (AHoDs/HoDs) of Departments was held at the Secretariat Conference Hall on 19th July 2021.

The meeting deliberated on the attendance of Heads of Offices and staff in the districts, Directorates and Secretariat, and decided that Special Vaccination Camps would be organised, as requested by various departments to the Directorate of Health & Family Welfare. 

The Eight Session of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) is scheduled to be held from 3rd August 2021. In this regard, the NLA Secretariat requested the members of the Legislative Assembly to submit the questions, latest by 23rd July 2021. Also, the MLAs were asked to be prepared for the Committee meetings. 

The meeting, discussing on the Nagaland Rules of Executive Business 2020, asked all the AHoDs/HoDs to be thorough with it, as these are the main guidelines about the day to day transactions of the Government. 

Many departments and directorates have appointed Legal Advisors/Legal Consultants on full time basis or on various terms and conditions. In this regard, the Department of Justice & Law has been asked to examine the engagements of the Legal Consultants/issue the guidelines regarding such appointments, and to submit a report within 15 (fifteen) days. 

The meeting also raised concern regarding department websites which have not been updated for a long time, or are not updated on time. On this line, the Chief Secretary, Nagaland, J. Alam, IAS said that whenever major developments take place, it should be updated in the respective department website, and on this line, asked the Nodal Officers in-charge of every department website to ensure that such updation should be carried out by the 2nd of August 2021. The Information Technology & Communication Department would provide the necessary assistance.
