A Sub-divisional Task force meeting was held in Noklak which was chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner M.Chaitanya Prasad IAS. All the initiative taken sofar with regard to quarantine center upgradation, sanitation measure, patrolling duties and essential commodities was discussed with the members. The members suggested the need to further sensitise the interior village with regard to usage of mask and social distancing.SMO, Noklak Victor NC highlighted shortage of Doctor in Noklak. The house agreed to recommend to the government immediate posting of gynaecologist. The members also dwelled on the need for PPEs and body bags as a precautionary measures. It was decided to write to higher authority to ask for additional protective equipment and disinfectant.

The minutes of the meeting recorded as follows:

  1. Quarantine Centre: Model School at Danlepdong Ward was requisitioned by the Administration under Disaster Management Act and handed over to the Medical Dept till further order. The Quarantine center is electrified and connected with drinking water, it is now ready for use.
  2. Spraying of disinfectant at hospital, Bank and Police stations are carried out. More disinfectant will be sourced.
  3. 5 persons (2 from Noklak Village, 2 from Nokhu and 1 from Nokyan) who were home quarantined had completed their required no of days. They are healthy and shows no signs of any symptoms.
  4. Supply of Essential Commodities is now streamlined and available.
  5. The house also is of the opinion that hard ware shops dealing with construction materials may be relaxed with certain regulations to ease the burden of daily wage earners working in masonry, carpentry etc.
  6. Relief Rice for were distributed to migrant labourers, wage earners in the town and neighbouring villages. Will continue to identify the needy and extend the relief. Daily wage earners in transportation agency such as drivers of taxis, sumos whose livelihood are deeply affected may be considered.
  7. The village councils were given GIA for use in COVID-19 related activities. However, the house expressed the need for streamlining the rational use of the said fund.
  8. The House assessed the immediate need for posting of anesthetist and Gynaecologist at the CHC and decided to approach the government for posting of the same.
  9. The house also deliberated on the need to allocate a sample body bag and PPEs to the village level for sensitization and awareness.
