A meeting of the District Task Force for Immunization, Kohima District was held at DC's Conference Hall for Routine Immunization (RI) and MR Elimination drive on 10th May 2023.

In the meeting, SMO, World Health Organisation (WHO), Dr. Sheila Longkumer gave a brief review on Routine Immunization (RI) under Kohima District and while briefing the status of coverage of immunization, she also highlighted the issues faced due to the shortage of mobilizers (ASHA) workers and lack of supervision which creates the gap and therefore urged the members and line department to co-operate to reduce the gap and to achieve the targeted goal.

DPO (RCH/UIP) Dr. Khrievilhou Nakhro while delivering the status of RI and MR Elimination under Kohima District informed the members that 1st Phase of immunization is underway from April - May and the 2nd Phase will begin by August- September 2023 and requested the members for continuous support in achieving the goals.

During the meeting, a decision was taken by the members present to collaborate and cooperate (all the line departments) in bringing out the right mechanism to boost the percentage of immunization in all Rural and Urban areas under Kohima District.

The meeting was chaired by Addl. Deputy Commissioner Kohima, Rhosietho Nguori, while the vote of thanks was pronounced by CMO Kohima, Dr. Tumchobeni.
