In pursuance of the announcement of the General Election to the Nagaland Legislative Assembly 2023, a meeting on the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) and other instructions issued by the Election Commission of India for all political parties and media under Longleng district was held on 20th January 2023 at DC's conference hall Longleng under the Chairmanship of Dharam Raj IAS, DC and DEO Longleng. 

DC and DEO said the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) has come into force with the announcement of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly Election 2023. He briefed the detailed guidelines of the Election Model Code of Conduct and appeal to extend cooperation to the State and district Election Machinery. He urged all Political parties, Candidates, Government employees, and citizens to adhere to the Model Code of Conduct to ensure smooth and peaceful conduct of the said General Election 2023 in the district. 

The meeting was attended by all registered Political parties under the Longleng district.
