Meri Maati Mera Desh and Har Ghar Tiranga campaign were launched under the aegis of  Azadi ka  Amrit Mahotsav at Aoyim village on 12th August, 2023. 

ADC, Chumoukedima, Dr. Kuzonyi Wideo hoisted the flag and unveiled the memorial plague. In his brief speech, he thanked the village council chairman & members, youth, school students and others for participating in the programme. He informed the gathering that there will be more upcoming activities and stated that he is looking forward for the villagers to actively participate in the coming days. He further highlighted that, the idea behind the campaign is to celebrate India's soil and valor and also an innovative way of celebrating 77 years of India's freedom. He mentioned that, the program includes pre-plantation drive of 75 tree saplings to each village and collecting of soils where, the soil will be submitted to Delhi on 27th August and on 30th August 2023 a grand finale celebration will take place.  Also informed that 2,55,326 villages all over India are participating from 9th - 15th August and 89, 640 urban local bodies and town committee are taking the initiatives too, he added.

Earlier, commemorating the celebration, the ADC administered the pledge and planted the saplings. Vote of thanks was delivered by Aoyim Village Council Chairman.
