Commemorating Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations, Wokha Town Council conducted various activities Meri Maati Mera Desh campaign at Tsumang Lake, Wokha on 14th August 2023.

Administrator WTC & ADC, Wokha, K. Furhesie Nyuwi who chaired the programme apprised the gathering that the campaign was observed to honour the martyred, brave hearts of the county. He further stated that under the campaign there are five components, which has to be observed/conducted till 15th August 2023.

The programme began with the hoisting of National Flag at Shilaphalakam and Rastragaan, led by the ADC. The participants took the Panch Pran pledge and planted tree saplings where chairmen of the 27 colonies under Wokha town participated. Waste bins and aerobic were also distributed to all wards and institutions by the Wokha Town Council.
