Minister for Tribal Affairs & Higher Education, Temjen Imna Along inaugurated the Multipurpose Hall-Cum-Guest House at Okotso village on 27th May 2022.

The Minister while giving the inaugural address said the Government is committed to bringing things on the right trajectory to bring about an equal share of development in every sector. He asked the people to not always criticize but contribute by playing their part and pray for the leaders for wisdom to serve the people.

While congratulating Additional Secretary, Nchumbemo Lotha for his initiative in bringing the project into reality and completing the Multipurpose Hall-Cum-Guest House, he urged him to come up with innovative ideas involving the community for common good.

"We need a progressive community that is committed to not only oneself but to the people, then only Nagaland will prosper," He also said attitude determines a community's lifestyle and the amount of development that takes place, "if we don’t change our attitude we will never march forward, we need to work in unity and oneness so that our society will prosper," he added.

Advisor to Chief Minister for Horticulture & Border Affairs, Mhathung Yanthan, who also spoke during the function, said the day was a momentous occasion, especially for Okotso village, and both developments- Community Hall and the Multipurpose Hall-Cum-Guest House were done under the Ministry of Tribal  Affairs for which he thanked the Department of TA. He also appealed to the people of the village to have a sense of ownership and take responsibility for making good use of the building.

The function was chaired by Secretary, Tribal Affairs Department, Kenilo Apon, IAS, dedication prayer was offered by Pastor Okotso Baptist Church, Rev. O. Yibomo Ngullie while the vote of thanks was proposed by Additional Secretary, Tribal Affairs Department, Nchumbemo Lotha.
