Minister for PHED & Co-operation, Jacob Zhimomi inaugurated the new office building complex of Deputy Commissioner of Police, Niuland in the presence of DC Niuland, Sara S Jamir; Commissioner of Police, Aotula T. Imchen; DCP Niuland Manish Bhartiya, other officials and Public leaders on 26th Jan 2026,.

Zhimomi while addressing the inaugural program thanked the Central Government for catering the specific needs of the state government and congratulated the Home Department, Engineering wings and Contractors for timely completion of the project.

Mentioning that he aspires to make Niuland, a model district, doesn't mean only physical infrastructure development, Zhimomi said citizens need to be good, friendly, honest and most importantly we need to develop our family with collective responsibility as a way forward to make the district peaceful and prosperous.

As per the technical report from Er. Hutoshe Awomi, EE. PEP Chumoukedima,  the construction of DCP Office was started in Sept 2023 and completed in June 2025, under the Government of India Part - 1 Special Assistance to the States for Capital Investment (SASCI) Phase 1 and 11.

The Office building includes a barracks and staff quarters with a total cost of 592.976 lakhs.

Earlier, Aotula T Imchen (IPS) CP, Dimapur delivered a short speech, while C Apong Yimchunger, ADCP Niuland delivered the vote of thanks. The program was chaired by Manish Bhartiya, DCP Niuland.
