Personnel from the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, interacted with handicrafts artisans at the Vamuzo's Memorial Hall on 28th July 2022. The event was organized by Development Commissioner (Handicrafts), Handicrafts Service Centre, Kohima in association with DIC Chozuba.

The resource persons were Sr Assistant Director (H), T. Rollee Vareishim, Handicrafts Promotion Officer, Rajib Chandra Roy, and General Manager, DIC Chozuba, Cholzo Sophie.

The Chaupal interaction, held with handicrafts artisans in view of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, highlighted the schemes for D.C. (Handicrafts) to the artisans, distribution of Pahchan ID Card, benefits of the e-commerce platform/ GeM portal registration, MUDRA loan scheme, welfare schemes for artisans, benefit of artisan I card (Pahchan), spot enrolment of new artisans for Pahchan ID, GI registration & procedures, Bima Yojana and helpline Centre 1800 208 4800. More than 200 people took part in the training cum interaction programme.
