MOCK EXERCISE ON EARTHQUAKE CONDUCTED AT KIPHIRE

A strong hypothetical earthquake of magnitude 8.7 on Richter Scale at Zisaji Presidency Government College Kiphire at 11 AM was demonstrated on 8th March 2022.

The SDRF rescue team performed demonstration on how to save people during an earthquake. On receiving information about the earthquake, the District Operation Team (SDRF) rushed to the spot to take the stock of the situation and for mobilisation. The SDRF rescue Team retrieved 2 dead bodies, 3 persons were seriously injured and 4 with minor injuries and 1 person with severe burns. The injuries were given first aid at the nearest hospital.

During the demonstration, the SDRF team performed an act of retrieving a child using rope to save a child in danger at the top floor.
