The Mokokchung District Development and Planning Board meeting was held on 17th December 2021 at Eco Camp, Suteplenden Longkong Village.

The meeting was held under the Chairmanship of Tongpang Ozukum, Minister PWD (Housing And Mechanical) And Chairman DPDB. Limawapang, Deputy Commissioner & Vice Chairman DPDB welcomed all the members to the meeting and conducted one minute silence in respect for the Oting victims in Mon.

In the meeting, the house reviewed the last DPDB meeting minutes. The agenda for the DPDB meeting were,

1.     Approval of translated documents of Villager Council Act:

The house after thorough discussion approved the documents and also gave more time to the committee members for the authentic addition of the documents.

2.     ADC Mangkolemba, Thaaram Raj IAS gave a power point presentation on five Year Action Plan for Aspirational Block, Longchem, over which the chairman Tongpang Ozukum suggested the house that he will have a meeting with the sub-divisional Development Board for its approval.

3.     A comprehensive report on:

a.      Samagra Shiksha: Proposal, implementation and progress of work in Mokokchung District

b.     Number of Schools, Teachers and Students in each school under Mokokchung District which was presented by the Education Department in the form of Power Point Presentation.

4.     Covid – 19 and Vaccination report in Mokokchung District was presented by CMO Chubala Aier, where she stated that in the District 82% were vaccinated.

5.     A new member Apong Jamir District Education Officer was introduced to the house.

 

Superintendent of Police Mokokchung, Aotula Imchen highlighted the house on the problem of Cyber Crime and Social Media Awareness Campaign on which a short video documentary compiled by the Mokokchung Police was screened in the meeting. This includes an awareness calendar also which was launched in the meeting by the chairman, Tongpang Ozukum.

Earlier a Dedicatory cum Handing over program of Hearse And Medical Equipments was held.
