Mokokchung District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting for the month of July was held on 24th July 2025 at Deputy Commissioner’s Conference Hall, Mokokchung under the chairmanship of MLA and Chairman DPDB Mokokchung, Nuklutoshi   Longkumer.

During the review of the last DPDB meeting minutes, it addressed the issue of Plastic waste management in the district where the members from Mokokchung Municipal Council (MMC) highlighted the various activities and initiatives that were taken up to address the problems.

The Board while approving the LADP schemes for Mokokchung district, 2025-2026 appreciated the Iconic Project program and allocation of sport funds under LADP. Regarding the obtaining of No Objection Certificate from 2nd NAP Alichen for construction of the Helipad at Tuli Town, the Board decided to recommend it to the concerned authorities.

The Board also approved and recommended the registration of the following societies, AKM Nation Builder’s Society, Mokokchung; Sports Society Soyim, Ungma and Akhoya Village Bamboo Growers Society.

The Chairman further took up a discussion with the members from the concerned department regarding the update on the status of NH- 702D (Mokokchung Maraini road).
