Social Welfare Department Mon celebrated PoshanMaah 2021 on 24th September 2021 at Council Hall Mon, with the theme, "Converging towards a healthy walk through life". While briefing on PoshanMaah, Supervisor, Mon Block, NgupyaWangshu stated that the programme aims at reducing malnourishment in children by 2022. Ngupya added that the programme targets 0-6 years, lactating mothers and adolescent girls. Supervisor, Mon Block, L. AmeiKonyak delivered an awareness on Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF) where she stressed on the importance of breast feeding. Resource persons of the programme were: i) Block Program Manager, RD Mon Block (NSRLM), S. YataoKonyak who spoke on kitchen gardening. ii) City Coordinator Choldline Mon, Eunice Thalih who highlighted the emergency services provided by Childline 1098. iii) HIV/TB dots Plus, Supervisor, Loshon, who gave a detailed explanation on Tuberculosis. iv) ICTC Counselor, Nyemnyei, who also gave a detailed explanation on HIV Aids.
