A combined meeting of the Covid-19 District Task Force, Mon and Mon District Task Force for administration of Covid-19 Vaccination was held on 21st April 2021 at the Conference Hall of the Office of Deputy Commissioner Mon. The meeting was chaired by DC Mon, Thavaseelan K IAS.

DIO Mon, Shasinle Tep highlighted that altogether 15,207 beneficiaries in Mon have been vaccinated in the first and second phases. She stated that the vaccination for 18 years and above will be targeted to start by 1st May 2021. She also urged upon the board to plan for lesser vaccination sessions with full capacity for maximum utilization and lesser wastage. 

With the resurgence of Covid-19 in the State, the meeting deliberated on making it compulsory for Police Personnel to be vaccinated while also passing for the Anganwadi and ASHA workers to be registered as front line workers.
