As part of the nationwide BijleeMahotsav celebration, a programme was held at Council Hall, Nokyan B Village under Noklak district under the Theme, 'Ujjwal Bharat, UjjwalBhavishya' Power@2047 on 29th July 2022 with Deputy Commissioner Noklak, Hiazu Meru as the special guest. 

On the occasion, Hiazu Meru requested the gathering to create awareness on various schemes which are coming to the villages and also urge them not to misuse the welfare schemes. He requested the villagers to take the responsibility in protecting public properties and encouraged everyone to pay the electric bills on time.

District Nodal Officer & Er. N. Vantsso Kithan, NEEPCO Ltd. Doyang, highlighted on various achievements of the nation in the power sector.

S. Koi. Beneficiary testimonial was shared by K. Chimtong, cultural presentation was presented by Nokyan B Menyiu Hoikam and Nukkad Natak was performed by Thang Nokyan Students Union to marked the occasion. 

Welcome address was delivered by VCC Nokyan B village while the programme was chaired by JE (Power), Er. Tumo Khiamniungan. Vote of thanks was delivered by SDO (C) Noklak, C. Phuniang. 

Film on Universal Household Electrification, Village Electrification, Distribution System Strengthening, Capacity Addition, One Nation Grid, Renewable energy and Consumer Right were also screened during the occasion. The programme was attended by an enthusiastic gathering consisting of people from all walks of life.
