LONGLENG DISTRICT:

Longleng District paid heartfelt tribute to the educators. The event, meticulously organized by the District Education Office (DEO), unfolded at the DEO Conference Hall Longleng on September 5th, 2023. Dr. Samuel Akho Konyak P, Extra Assistant Commissioner of Longleng HQ, graced the occasion.

District Awards were presented to four outstanding Teachers: Nirmal Sarkar, (Mathematics) from Bautung Govt Higher Sec. School; Ngongang Phom, Assistant Teacher at Phom Lempong Higher Sec School; C. Pangjei Keikung, from GT Govt Higher School Yachem and W. Salang Phom, Hindi Teacher at Govt Higher School Yaongyimchen.

Dr. Samuel congratulated the four District Teachers Awardees and urged all teachers in Longleng to exhibit commitment, dedication, and devotion akin to the awardees in uplifting the future generations of Longleng District. He emphasized that teachers who do not give their all might hinder the next generation's development milestones. Dr. Samuel mentioned the correlation between teachers who give their best with personal prosperity and fulfilment in lives.

Furthermore, he stressed that teachers and the school department should be assets to the state and not liabilities to the state exchequer. Dr. Samuel urged all teachers to comply with the Nagaland Government Service Conduct Rules and set a good example for their children and their students.          

Rev. Bau-uh, Pastor CBC, offered a heartfelt prayer for the teachers. Ainyu Phom conveyed appreciation to the teachers. A song performance by Phammei from Yingli College added musical charm to the event.

Pongtei Phom, Assistant Education Officer (AEO), delivered words of wisdom.The event was chaired by L. Chingdam Mukho.

The event witnessed the participation of all Teachers In-Charge, Head Teachers, Principals, and Headmasters, both from Government and Private Schools functioning in Longleng HQ.
