To effectively implement the Registration of Births and Deaths Act 1969 and subsequent Nagaland Registration of Births & Deaths (Amendment) Rules 1999, the Directorate of Economic & Statistics has informed that the following measures have being re-reiterated to be adhered by the Registrar of Births and Deaths in the State.

Principal Director, Treasuries & Accounts in an order informed that Vitsulie Motonyu, Joint Director under the Directorate of Treasuries & Accounts-Nagaland, Kohima has been nominated as Nodal Officer for attending all the Departments Audit matters.

In view of the Bye-elections for the 58- Shamator-Chessore Assembly Constituency, the General Observer and the Expenditure Observer have reached Tuensang on 07th October 2021. The General Observer also visited the 58- Shamator-Chessore Assembly Constituency to assess the preparation and was present during the filing of nomination of the candidates on the 07th October 2021.

After a night’s halt at Dimapur, Vice President of India, Venkaiah Naidu departed Nagaland from Dimapur Airport on 8th October morning around 8:00 AM.
