Deputy Commissioner Mon, Thavaseelan K, IAS notified in view of the outbreak of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) and subsequent declaration by the World Health Organisation (WHO) as a pandemic, all citizens of Mon District has been informed that they can take their own COVID-19 Self Assessment Test on the District Website by following the procedure below:

Deputy Commissioner, Mon Thavaseelan K IAS issued an order that with the declaration of the results of HSLC and HSSLC Examination and start of admission process in various Colleges across India through the online mode, the below mentioned persons are allowed to provide their services in filling up of online forms for interested students in Mon District.

The full text is as follows:

“My dear citizens of Nagaland,

As on today, active cases remain at 43.  All positive persons are receiving medical care at the designated COVID-19 Hospitals. Active surveillance is going on to prevent further spreading of the infection.

The Office of the Chief Secretary, Nagaland has reiterated that all the existing guidelines with regard to the Lockdown in all parts of the State issued vide Order of even number dated 04.05.2020, will continue to remain operative till further orders.

Deputy Commissioner Mon, Thavaseelan K, IAS, in an order has notified that no Village/Ward Authorities, Individuals or Groups are allowed to issue "Shoot-at-Sight" Order for pets especially dogs. Such an act is a punishable offence under Section 3 & 11 of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960.

In supersession of the previous SOP of even no. dated 26th of May 2020, a revised SOP for Transportation of Essential Commodities/Other Goods from Assam to Mon is hereby notified at below:
