Deputy Commissioner & District Election Officer, Wokha Ajit Kumar Ranjan, IAS informed all concerned that, in view of the ensuing 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly Election 2023 and to facilitate the smooth conduct of the election process, all Heads of Offices under Wokha district have been directed not to release officers and staff transferred under their establishment.

In general information to all the concerned that on the eve of the 74th Indian Republic Day Celebration, a mass social work would be held on 24th January 2023, from 06:30 am onwards. Therefore all the concerned citizens of Longleng town have been requested to participate actively in the cleanliness drive.

A meeting with the district-level standing Committee and representative of political parties was held in Noklak at DC’s conference hall. During the meeting, Khathyinla NCS EAC Noklak Hq explained all the legal provisions and instructions of the Election Commission relating to expenditure and its monitoring and the consequences of failure to comply with them.

Deputy Commissioner Phek, Kumar Ramnikant IAS, informed that in view of the upcoming Republic Celebration a mass social work will be conducted in Phek Town on 24th January 2023 starting from 6:30 AM.

The Nagaland Police through a press release stated that in its continuous efforts to serve better, the department since the announcement of the Schedule of General Elections to the Nagaland Legislative Assembly, 2023 by the Election Commission of India dated 18.01.

Deputy Commissioner & District Magistrate Kohima, Shanavas C IAS in exercise of the powers conferred under Sections 144A of the CrCP has prohibited any person from carrying arms (firearms, machete/dao, clubs, spears, explosives, catapults or any other articles designed or adopted as weapon for offence or defence) in their possession within the District of Kohima with immediate effect.
