The Special Investigation Team headed by a DIG constituted to investigate the State Crime Police Station - Case No. 02/2021 have arrested 4 (four) suspected persons on 30/03/2021 in connection with the firing and killing of three persons in Lamhainamdi Village on 22/03/2021.

To honour the victims, a candle lights vigil was organised by Zeliangrong Students Union Kohima on 31st March 2021. Hundreds of Kohima citizens assembled at the local ground to pay homage to Lt. Itingwangbe Haikam, Lt. Peramhialungbo and Lt. Sikamwangbo who were killed by unknown assailants on 22nd March at Lamhainamdi Village in Peren district.
