Kohima Law College conducted a felicitation program on 19th August, 2021 at its college. The program was conducted for the passed out students of the last academic session of Nagaland University, declaring the best passed out result percentage where 40 got LL.B degree as regular students and 11 students as repeater and amongst them two of them namely B. Chunon Konyak and Abigial Lotha came out in 1st Division.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, Tizit, Pakon Phom, in an order stated that a land dispute between Jaboka and Yannu Village over Konhoa Area occurred on 18th August 2021 resulting in damaged to paddy fields, burning of shacks, huts and cutting down of plantation crops and trees. He added that there are sufficient grounds for promulgation of the prohibitory order U/S 144 Criminal Procedure Code, 1973 for maintaining public safety and peace &tranquility in the Sub-Division.
State Government in a notification rectified the nomenclature “YIMCHUNGER” Naga to “YIMKHIUNG” Naga. It stated that the name “YIMKHIUNG” shall be used in all official correspondence.
The order has been issued with the approval of the Cabinet in its meeting held on the 31st July 2021 conveyed vide letter No. CAB-2/2013 dated 31/07/2021.

Vikepelhu Lucas Meyase retired Director of Higher Secondary Education, Nagaland passed away after brief illness. He was 73. He left behind wife, seven children with four boys and three girls and two grandchildren. Meyase was laid to rest at his private residence Sepfὓzou, Kohima on 17th August 2021.
