The Officers and staff of Nagaland House, New Delhi, on 27th May, led by the ACS & RC Jyoti Kalash and DRC Kethosituo Sekhose, handed over a sum of Rs.1,15,000/- to the fund for providing rations to stranded people from Nagaland, who are staying at Delhi NCR.
Mention may be made that the officers and staff are already contributing in the form of voluntary service in reaching out to the needy inspite of the difficulties and health hazards. The contribution, though small, will go a long way in mitigating the hunger of the people from the State. Three teams from the Nagaland House is being regularly sent to various parts of Delhi NCR for distribution of dry rations to the needy, while the medical team led by Dr.Hentok Phom and Kuolie Mere is reaching out to patients from the State across Delhi to provide various assistance, consultation and vehicles monetary and blood donations in various Hospitals for their treatment.
So far, more than 750 students and Nagas stranded in Delhi and NCR were provided rations.
