An orientation and coordination meeting was conducted via video conference to plan the State Level Mock Exercise on Earthquake Disaster for Nagaland. The meeting was held at the Deputy Commissioner's Conference Hall in Dimapur on October 27, 2023.

During the orientation, the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) and State Disaster Management Authority (SDMA) shared details about the upcoming events. A Table Top Exercise is scheduled for October 31, 2023, and a statewide Mega Mock Drill Exercise on Earthquake Disaster for Nagaland Emergency Preparedness Exercise (NEPEx) will be conducted on November 2, 2023, across all districts.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Tinojongshi Chang, NCS, Deputy Commissioner, and Chairman of the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) in Dimapur, Mhalo Humtsoe, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Yanthungbemo Kikon, Sub-Divisional Officer (Civil), and other district officials.

This proactive approach to disaster preparedness underscores the commitment of Nagaland to ensure the safety and readiness of its residents in the face of potential disasters.
