In commemoration of the remarkable work of Indian physicist CV Raman in the field of light scattering, District Administration & Mahila Shakti Kendra Longleng conducted Inter-School Science Exhibition Competition in view of NATIONAL SCIENCE DAY with the theme “Integrated approach in science and technology for sustainable future” on 28th February 2022 at VDB Hall Longleng.

The welcome address was delivered by Phungla Phom, WWO MSK, she also gave a brief note on the significance of the celebration. The panel of judges for the competition were Dr. Lima Phom, Chief Functionary Yingle Mission Society, R. Radhakhrishnan Graduate teacher, GHSS LLG & Dr.Manan Phom MO, PHC Yongnyah. Some of The subjects/models presented by the students were, “Sewage Treatment Plant, Soil Erosion, Assembling and working of Robotic, Wind Turbine, Kaleidoscope, etc”. The first Position was bagged by Christian High School, the second by Phom Lempong school, and the third position was bagged by Shamakok Mission School. Winners were awarded certificates & cash prizes. A total of 25 girl students participated in the competition. The program was attended by Phom students conference executives, teachers, students from all the blocks.
