Niuland District Planning & Development Board meeting was held at DC's Conference Hall Niuland on 16th January 2023.

DC and Vice Chairman DPDB Niuland Sara S Jamir said 2023 will be the year of eradication of Proxy teachers in the district for which the DC urged all the officers and public leaders to cooperate with the authorities. In line with the grievances and problems highlighted by the DEO Niuland, Sara informed the DEO to prepare a proposal for the upgradation of the High school to a Higher Secondary school since Niuland District has only one Higher Secondary school.

The following agendas were deliberated and approved during the meeting. Recognition of Heveto village under Kuhuboto Sub-Division, Report of Chief Minister's Health Insurance Scheme (CMHIS) by all HoDs, and Highlight on Chief Minister's Micro Finance Initiative (CMMFI).

DEO Niuland Bohovi Yeptho while delivering a Departmental presentation highlighted various achievements and problems in the department including the inclusion of the Kuhuboto division into Niuland DEO which is presently under SDEO Dimapur.
