Niuland District Planning & Development Board meeting was held at DC Conference Hall Niuland on 11th May 2023. PHED Minister and Chairman DPDB Niuland, Jacob Zhimomi, while addressing the meeting, urged concerned departments to get prepared as the upcoming monsoon could be very harsh for the district for which the Deputy Commissioner Niuland, Sara S Jamir has called for the meeting of all the departments on 16th May and directed the departments to prepare a monsoon preparedness plan for further deliberation. Zhimomi also stressed on empowering the youths and urged all the stakeholders to provide a platform to the youth in the district. Departments that are yet to establish an office in the new district have been directed to put up the proposal through district administration for necessary action, said Zhimomi.

The following agendas were deliberated and approved during the meeting: Upgradation of Greenland School, Lotovi Village under Kuhuboto, and Holywood School, Nihoto Village under Kuhuboto. Powerpoint presentation on National Helpline for senior citizens. Science and Commerce stream to be established in the Government Higher Secondary School Niuland.
