The 26th Wrestling meet cum 2nd Under-16 wrestling of the Zeliang Wrestling Association was held at Ngwalwa Village local ground, Peren on 21st February 2022 with Iteigong Kauring, PS to Advisor for Water Resources as the Special Guest and SDO (C), Tsenthungo E. Ngullie as the Guest of Honour. 

In the final match, Nlumrai from Mpai village emerged the champion after defeating Suiriepeu from Peren. Meanwhile, Penachi from Mpai village and Keyigumbe from Ngwalwa village secured third and fourth positions respectively. Altogether, 60 wrestlers from four zones (Southern, Northern, Eastern, and Western) vied for the championship title. The prizes were given away by SDO (C), Tsenthungo E. Ngullie.

            Speaking at the occasion, the special guest said wrestling is one of the rich legacies the present generation has inherited from their forefathers and urged the leaders present to continue promoting their unique history. He also encouraged the participants to be confident, have self-respect, and be disciplined to excel and achieve success. He called upon the members present to promote the spirit of oneness and unity among the community. 

Earlier, the event was chaired by Advisor ZWA, Perangteilu, while the presidential address was delivered by Ada Nsanlung, and administration of oath was done by Secretary ZWA, Dileugi.
