As part of Jal Jeevan Mission, one day Block Level Workshop was conducted on 4th January 2023 at Area Court Chare Town, Tuensang by PHED Department in Collaboration with Alongphi Welfare Society with the theme 'Source Water Conservation and its Sustainability in Rural Areas’.

Assistant Professor, Fazal Ali College, Nohochem Sangtam said that conservation of water starts from the participation of the community in the village areas through limitations of deforestation and Jhum cultivation to maintain the balance of spring water. Toma JE, PHED Chare Block spoke on the topic of Community Participation in the Jal Jeevan Mission. The function was followed by Demonstrate of Practical Field Testing Kits of water by the Department. The function was attended by WATSAN Committee and Village Council members from 12 Village.
