In connection with the special summary revision of the photo electoral roll w.r.t. 01.01.2023 as the qualifying date, the final publication of the Roll was published on 5th January 2023 in DC's Office Chamber, Kohima.

Deputy Commissioner & District Election Officer Kohima, Shanavas C, IAS, in his introductory remark, stated that the draft roll which was published on 9th November 2022 with total Electors of 1, 22,459 in Kohima district, has now recorded a total addition of 2,519 and deletion of 1,297 with a net increase of 1,222 electors bringing the total final E-Roll Electors to 1,23,681 after the revision.

Shanavas also informed that a lot of photo similar entries have also been detected during the revision where Kohima alone has more than 9000 entries which are under process for necessary correction and further urged the political parties to note it and extend their full cooperation and support to the office of Deputy Commissioner & District Election Officer for free and fair conduct of the election.

DC & DEO handed over copies of the final roll (one hard copy and one soft copy) to the recognized representatives of the political parties during the programme.
