The bicycle race competition, marking the start of the 50th-anniversary celebrations of Phek District, commenced with the flag-off and launch by Dr. Niesatuo Mero, MLA on November 4th, 2023. The race concluded in Phek, and the prize distribution ceremony took place at the Local Ground in Phek on the same day.

            Deputy Commissioner of Phek, Kuko Mero, presented the awards to the deserving winners. Shiven emerged as the champion in the open road bicycle race competition, securing a cash prize of ₹70,000. Thotmachen and Ronald clinched the second and third positions, respectively, with cash awards of ₹40,000 and ₹20,000.

            The competition witnessed a total of forty-three participants, hailing from various outside states and the home state of Nagaland, making it a diverse and exciting event.

            Netho Khamo, a Member of the Events Committee, provided a comprehensive race report to the audience. District Tourism Officer, S. Peter Trakha, delivered a brief speech, and Vezuhu Keyho, President of CPO, expressed gratitude in the vote of thanks.

            The program was chaired by Ruopfukuotuo Noudi, NCS, who serves as the Additional Deputy Commissioner and Administrator of Phek Town Council.
