Assam Rifles distributed sports equipment to students of Government School at New Ralan, Wokha in the presence of the Village Chairman, New Rala, Wokha on 15th November 2023.

Sports equipment such as footballs, volleyballs, table tennis board & paddles, badminton nets and shuttles, carrom boards, javelins and skipping ropes, etc. were distributed.

The objective of initiative was to assist and enhance sporting facilities to students studying in isolated and far flung areas and to enable them for overall growth and development through sports and games.

Besides strengthening the bond between friends, providing them such facilities was also to motivate children in the rural areas to attend school regularly with enthusiasm and to stay active and healthy with discipline in their pursuit for a bright future it also added.

Students, teachers and leaders of the village also had a football exhibition match.
