MLA, Kevipodi Sophie visited the landslide area at Kigwema Village under Kohima district on 8th July 2024. He was accompanied by SDO (C) Jakhama, Nockpai Konyak; EE PWD, Er. Wapanginba M.Jamir and Kigwema Village Council Chairman, Balie Kire.

Sophie instructed the officials to assess the damage and pursue the matter with the higher authority in earnest. The landslide which occurred a few days ago due to incessant rain has damaged houses and the road between Kigwema and Mima Village has been completely blocked due to the landslide.
