The first Open Futsal Tournament organized by the Orangkong Students, Nyengching Unit, Longleng commences on 4th July 2024 at public play ground, Longleng.

SDO (Civil) Longleng, Meyazungba Jamir graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. In his speech Jamir delightfully expressed his past fondness about futsal game. He appreciated the organizers, the participants for coming together, and promoting the game at a place like Longleng with fewer infrastructures with regard to the game.

He also encouraged the players to play in such a way that one day they will be able to represent Nagaland at various levels. He expressed his wish to see the young players playing at the highest level. He also announced that soon Longleng District would be establishing its own Futsal Ground under the initiative of the Government and like in other district of Nagaland.
