Due to incessant rain, landslides and floods continue to occur once again in Chessore area under Shamator. The Chessore- Huker- Y. Anner valley which is known as the Rice Bowl for Yimkhiungrüs was hit with worst disaster ever in the recent time. The river bed area from Huker Village, Chessore Village to Y. Anner Village known as fertile Cannan of Yimkhiung land was badly affected since 19th April 2024 where almost 60% of paddy fields were sweep away as reported by the village council.

The incessant rain since 30th June has once again damaged the remaining paddy field completely swept away and almost all the paddy irrigation field from Langa-ke River to Chessore River was badly damaged by the floods. 

The incessant rain also triggered landslides and mudslides with reports of road blockage at various locations in the region. Chessore lifeline road from Tuensang and Shamator via Y. Anner Village and Shiponger Village was affected. The Müksük-Ke Bridge which was constructed by Chessore Village under MNERGA fund is also at the verge of collapse. The belly Bridge between Shiponger and Leangkonger village which was constructed under PMGSY is also badly damaged. 

The village council chairman of Y. Rikhum Y. Anner village has appeal to the concern department to reach out to the people affected by the disaster. Zhelo Chessore Village Council Chairman also appeal to the District Administration, NPWD, SDRF and all concern departments to extend their assistant to the Chessore area public by means of immediate relief to those effected villages and also for clearance of road caused by the landslide.
