Deputy Commissioner & Chairman, Zunheboto District Disaster Management Authority, Rahul Bhanudas Mali, IAS, convened an emergency meeting at DC's conference hall, Zunheboto on 10th July 2024.

The meeting was held on monsoon preparedness where the line departments were asked to carry out their works sincerely without any lapses, during of emergencies. The house constituted the Zunheboto District Task Force which included all concerned departments as members, headed by EAC Hq, and the members were assigned to oversee every untoward situation in and around the district. The house further agreed to request NSDMA to send technical team to assess the situation for prompt action in order to avoid loss of lives and properties. 

The Deputy Commissioner along with the line departments of DDMA visited and verified the current situation at Alahuto colony where, major eroding and sinking of soil is being reported recently, threatening of major landslide in the area.
