Zunheboto District Planning & Development Board meeting was held at DC’s conference hall, Zunheboto on 11th July 2024.

Deputy Commissioner and vice chairman Zunheboto DPDB, Rahul Bhanudas Mali, IAS in his opening remark thanked the members and everyone involved in the successful completion of the recently concluded ULB election. 

         Newly assigned Zunheboto DPDB Chairman, MLA, Er. Picto Shohe in his speech thanked the legislators under Zunheboto district for making him the chairman of the district DPDB. He requested all the members to work sincerely and co-operate to make Zunheboto one of the best performing districts in Nagaland. He encouraged the board members to work together and bring about change in the society. 

          Advisor for Food & Civil supplies and Legal Metrology KT. Sukhalu in his speech thanked and commended the administration and SP Zunheboto for the successful completion of ULB election peacefully and also thanked the citizens for their cooperation. He advised the Deputy Commissioner to make sure that all the heads of offices are present during the DPDB meetings. He advised the members to not only attend the meetings, but also bring the department's proposals so that the legislators can do their best to help the departments. Sukhalu stated that the government is taking up various measures to contain any malpractices in the working of offices and so advised the officers to be in station and work sincerely for the welfare of the people.

            During the meeting, the members discussed on inclusion of Sutsa (Sumi language) at B.A or degree level; opening of JNV institute at Tokiye block at Aghunato; financial assistance for OST center at district hospital; registration of VK range students union and recognition of Viza village at Suruhuto. Upon deliberate discussion, the proposals were approved by the house to be sent to higher authority for further necessary action. 

          Powerpoint presentations were presented by Nagaland State District Management Authority and Aspirational block Akuhaito block on Sampoornata Abhiyan.
