The 75th Celebration of the Indian Republic day was celebrated at Local Ground Medziphema Sub-Division, on 26th January 2024 with Advisor for, Land Resources, G. Ikuto Zhimomi, gracing the occasion as the Chief Guest. The Chief Guest on his arrival unfurled the National flag and took the Rastriya Salute along with the singing of the National Anthem. He then inspected the parade contingents and delivered the Republic Day speech. Three contingents took part in the March Past which was led by Parade Commander T. Desela Sangtam DSP, Commissioner of Police Dimapur. NAPTC Chumukedima, KDHSS Medziphema Town and NCC SFSHSS Medziphema Town were the parade contingents.
While commendation certificate for Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign, 2023 was distributed to SFS Higher Secondary School, Kedosakho Chucha, PGT GHSS Medziphema and Neilalhounuo Belho, Asst Teacher (CTO) NCC, SFS Higher Secondary School. Further results for the slogan writing competition on the theme "Youth vrs Garbage " under the Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign the 1st prize was awarded to Chibemo Shitio & Dziesevizo Keyho of King David Higher Secondary School, 2nd Prize to Seyievito Liegise & Keneisanuo Suokhrie of King David Higher Secondary School and 3rd Prize to (a). Teisonitso Vupru & Khelivi Kinimi of King David Higher Secondary School (b). Bijom Tada & Fredyfar Nongsiang of SFS Higher Secondary School respectively.
The Chief Guest inaugurated the exhibition stalls setup by Sub-Divisional Agriculture Officer Medziphema, Schools of Agricultural Sciences Nagaland University Medziphema Campus, Nyiepou (SHG), KYK Dimapur, ICAR Research Complex for NEH REGION, Nagaland Centre, Jharnapani Medziphema and ICAR-National Research Centre on Mithun Medziphema.
To commemorate the occasion a Football Final Match between Sechu Zubza Football Team and Nikhekhu Sporting Club for Ghaspani Football Championship was also held. The celebration of the Republic day was attended by Govt. servants, Army Personal, NGOs, Public Leaders, students and general publics.
As part of the celebration, other highlights including Cultural presentation by SHG of Bungsang Village and a Special presentation by Excel School of Music, Medziphema Town.
