The District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) Niuland held extensive deliberation on the presence of Assam Police outpost at Aghunaqa Area during the DPDB meeting held on 16th July at DC Conference hall Niuland. Additional Deputy Commissioner, Niuland, Athsangla, chaired the meeting.

Aghunaqa Area students union President and his colleague address the members of the DPDB and put forward the grievances and inconvenience of the public and requested to either establish the Nagaland Police outpost in the area or to remove the Assam Police outpost present in the Area. The house held extensive deliberation on the issue and agreed to forward to the government in regards to the public demands for removal of Assam Police outpost present in the area.

The members also deliberated on the proposal for Registration of Nagaland Muslim Seva Sangh (NMSS) Society and agreed to have more consultation thereby differed the proposal to the next DPDB meeting.

Upgradation of GMS Pihekhu to GHS Pihekhu and proposal of schemes under LADP 2024-2025 for Ghaspani I A/C have been approved.
