The 75th Republic day was observed at Kiphire town with Advisor for Fire & Emergency, Home Guards and Civil Defence, S. Kiusumew Yimchunger as the special guest.

The Advisor hoisted the National flag, inspected and received the Rashtriya salute from the Marching contingents. He also delivered the Republic Day speech.

National Anthem was performed by pipe band 41 Assam Rifles. Later, the special guest inaugurated the exhibition stalls organised by Agri & allied and other departments.

As part of the celebration, Tikhir Women Union Kiphire Town presented a cultural folk dance. Special songs were presented by Leochum V. Thonger, and Marlen. 

A football exhibition match was also played between New Ageis FC and United Vikings, and beating of retreat by DEF Kiphire.
