The 75th Republic Day was celebrated on 26th January 2024 at Local Ground Phek with Member of Nagaland Legislative Assembly, Dr. Neisatuo Mero as the Special Guest.

The Special Guest unfurled the National Flag and delivered the Republic Day speech and took Rashtriya salute from five Parade contingents led by Parade Commander, Assistant Commandant, 5 NAP Phek, Vedehu Theluo,  Parade Second-in-Command, ABI, DEF, Phek, Keviletou Soliezuo and Parade CHM, HAV, DEF Phek, Pota Chakhesang.

Special Guest also inaugurated the Exhibition stalls setup by Agriculture Departments, DRDA & NSRLM, Horticulture Department, Fishery Department, Medical Department, DEO (Employment), ATMA, Urban Development Department and District Legal Service Authority.

The celebration was mark with cultural dance performed by Bible Hill Ward, Phek Town and Jericho II Ward, Phek Town, Women Inter-Ward ‘Tug of War’ competition and a football exhibition match played between Phek District Veteran Sports Association (PDVSA) and DC XI.

A gathering of government officials, village councils from nearby villages and citizens of the town about 2000 attended the function.
