Along with the rest of the Nation Wokha district celebrated the 75th Republic Day at local ground Wokha, on 26th January 2024, with Minister for Power & Parliamentary Affairs K.G. Kenye as the Chief Guest.

Seven parade contingents took part in the march past, which was led by SDPO, Wokha Sangthing Khiam as the parade commander. Roxlena Z Tungoe of Fernbrook School Wokha commanded the Band Party.

Highlights of the day includes, visiting of Mhondamo Memorial Hospital by DCCI, Dr. Motsuo Memorial District Hospital by SBI, Wokha, Morning Star Children Home by ANCVA and jail inmates by DLSA.

Folk song was presented by Wokha town Longsa Cultural Troupe while folk dance was presented by Liosangsu cultural troupe.

Later the chief guest inaugurated the stall put up by various departments and Self Help groups.
