The Dimapur District administration along with the citizen of Dimapur commemorated the 75th Republic Day at DDSC Stadium, Dimapur with T.R. Zeliang, Deputy Chief Minister, Planning & Transformation and National Highway unfurling the National Flag. He also inspected the march past contingents and took Rashtriya salute from 9(nine)Parade Contingents  consisting of Police Commissionerate, 15th NAP(IR) Mahilla  Battalion, Excise Directorate, Home Guard, Ex-servicemen, NCC Holy Cross Higher Secondary School, Dimapur, Higher Secondary School, Dimapur, NCC Dimapur Government College, Dimapur,  Cornerstone School, Dimapur and 43 AR Band Platoon. The parade contingents were led by Parade Commander Poolicharla Ramanaiah, IPS (Probationer), Parade 2 i/c Solo Kath, ABI, Police Commissionerate, Dimapur and Pradeep BHM Khekato Sema, Havildar, Police Commissionerate, Dimapur.

The program includes a patriotic song by Dimapur Mission School and cultural presentation by Chekiye Cultural Club (women folk dance), Garo Cultural Troupe and Khiamniungan Cultural Club. It was followed by inauguration of exhibition stalls by the chief guest. There were  18 (eighteen) stalls at the event with Departments from Agriculture, Horticulture, Nagaland Handloom & Handcrafts Development Corporation, District Rural Development Agency, Dimul, District Industries Centre, Food safety, Dimapur District Legal Service Authority,  DIPR , Local Decorative and First Aid from CMO.

The Republic Day celebration was attended by H. Tovihoto Ayemi, Advisor Tribal Affairs & Election, Dr. Tinojungshi Chang, Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur, Kevithuto Sophie, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Dimapur and other officials. 

In the evening there were prize distribution and beating of retreat by the 43rd Assam Rifles.
