In a notable environmental effort, the Assam Rifles in collaboration with District Administration and District Forest Officer, Zunheboto organised plantation drive at Zunheboto Government College on 27th July, 2024.

The initiative was organized under the banner "Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam" or "One Tree in the Name of Mother," saw 150 students actively participating alongside the District Forest Officer and District Administration, Zunheboto.

The event resulted in planting of numerous saplings (Approx 450 saplings) across the college campus with an aim to enhance local greenery and fostering environmental stewardship. The drive underscores the commitment of the Assam Rifle Battalion and local authorities to ecological conservation and community engagement in sustainable practices. By involving the youth and local officials in this symbolic gesture, the initiative highlights the collective vision for a greener future and the importance of collaborative action in addressing environmental challenges.
