The Nagaland Board of School Education has informed to all the registered Heads of Institutions that the Government of Nagaland has dwelled upon the significance and importance of NCC and to promote the enrollment and active participation of the students in the State.

Schools are the backbone of training in NCC in Nagaland. For ease of functioning, it is important that there is perfect coordination between the educational institutions, NCC Units and Department of School Education/NBSE to ensure wholesome NCC training to benefit the students of Nagaland. Heads of Institutions are therefore, kindly requested to facilitate and make provisions for the use of school infrastructure, when approached through the competent authority. Institutions with NCC cadets are requested to facilitate NCC training in the best possible way. The following points may be noted:-

  1. Attendance of PRCN/Refresher Courses. All associate NCC officers (ANOs) when nominated must be spared for attending pre-commission/refresher Courses.
  2. Conduct of NCC Classes- ANOs and Army/ Air Force Instructors. All ANOs must be spared and directed to hold NCC classes as mandated. ANOs must also be tasked to plan and facilitate conduct of service classes by Army/ Air Force Instructors.
  3. Attendance of NCC Activities. All ANOs when nominated must be spared for attending NCC Camps and training activities within/ outside the state.
  4. Making Available School Infrastructure/ facilities for NCC Camps. All Institutes when approached must accord priority to facilitate conduct of NCC events inside institute premises.

A copy of the brochure on the history, present setup, aims of NCC, Eligibility and Certification, Benefits for Cadets, Educational Institutes, State along with cadet allowances awards and scholarships are enclosed as Annexure.
