Commissioner & Secretary, Health & Family Welfare and Chairman, NSACS, V. Kezo, launching the City Barn- The Health Centre at Kohima, stated that the health centre would promote and encourage young people to come forward and build their confident. He requested The Health Centre, to extend help, comfort, understand through the interaction and pass out the value of knowledge acquired over the years by designing the system and methods so that these knowledge will not go to waste but bring up the positive values. He also emphasised that now days young people do not socialized but remain indoors and online, disconnecting themselves from all social responsibilities which are suspicious and dangerous. Kezo said the Health Centre is an interesting platform to provide advice and counselling in the absence of social media, so that through the interactions and sharing it can protect the mental, physical and wellbeing of the younger generation.
Project Director, Dr. Ahu Sekhose in his key note address said the City Barn would be a happening place as it would be giving out services to the young adolescents and people in need of counselling and help while Joint Director (Prevention), Dr. Bernice D Thapru also gave a brief report on the City Barn innovation project.
Red Warrior, Miss Nagaland 2022, Hikali Achumi also called upon all not to suffer in silence but to break the stigma by take the advantage of the services provided by City Barn Health Centre.
The services available in City Barn, Health Centre are Counselling services, TI/OST/ICTC/ART/STI/TB/Hepatitis/Mental Health/Adolescent clinic/Rehab/SRH services and screening for HIV.
